Since 2016, the Philippines has bypassed India\u2019s economy in terms of call centers. It has been predicted since 2016 that this year, there would be strong growth in the economy of up to 7.5%.[1]<\/a> An issue such as this has been discussed by Victor Abola from the University of Asia and the Pacific<\/a>. Even if the Philippine peso is weak in terms of foreign exchange, Overseas Filipino Workers have been contributing well to the Philippine economy. But there is one industrial player that is also responsible for the growth in the Philippine economy\u2014 business process outsourcing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to BPO industries, the first notion that comes to mind would be to equate them to call centers, but this is a misnomer. Even if it means that these industries must make calls to their clients, business process outsourcing transcends that label of being identified as a call center. Essentially, it is a business entity that sends their members or employees to manage part of the business operations of the client. But based on this definition, somebody might say, \u201cWell then, based on that service that you offer, the company is like a manpower agency<\/a>.\u201d However, there is more to this than meets the eye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, multitasking\non all aspects of the business as an individual can minimize focus on certain\nimportant working areas that should be urgently addressed. Outsourcing can\nallow the client to delegate business operations of lower priority to a staff\nthat is well equipped and well versed in administrative tasks. It cannot be\nforgotten that the outsourced personnel who are in charge of these\nadministrative tasks also has the proper mentality and personality. The fact\nthat a client can begin to set his\/her sights on what is important for the\ncompany can save precious time when coming up with strategies or sales\nexecutions for the upcoming period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondly, while\nmanaging part of the client\u2019s business operations, there is a hint of holistic\ndevelopment that is instilled within the workers (both under the client and\noutsourced). Holistic development, in this sense, refers to the developing the\nnecessary soft skills to execute their jobs properly and adapting to different\npersonalities. This adaptation provides that social stability within an\nindividual while focusing on the work. The internal staff of the clients will\nbenefit greatly, in both work efficiency and wellbeing, as the outsourced\npeople facilitate in managing the business operations of the client. Whether\nlocal or international, clients can turn to outsourcing for the best team for a\ncertain business position.[2]<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most importantly, one aspect to consider regarding business process outsourcing industries would be that such a business is offering business solutions to enhance work efficiency and productivity of the clients. Business process outsourcing industries more or less capitalize on client\u2019s management problems and resolve them in the most sustainable, efficient, and effective way possible. Because of this, more people are employed (as regular workers with mandatory governmental benefits), there will be less unnecessary and unwanted stress in the workplace, and the local economy<\/a> grows with an increase of GDP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
